COLOR IN MOTION A HAIR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP MAY 18th 2026

$350.00

One of the biggest questions I get asked is how to create movement shots and the truth is, it’s not just one thing.

Movement shots are not easy.
They require precision, timing, and understanding.

This is a hands-on, five-hour photography workshop focused on capturing color, light, andintentional movementin a way that actually translates on camera.

At its core, strong movement imagery comes down to a trifecta:

  • The model’s movement

  • Your camera settings

  • Your lighting

If one is off, the entire image falls flat.

Inside this workshop, you’ll learn how to bring all three together.

We’ll cover:

  • How to create the best lighting and what equipment to use

  • How to adjust your camera settings for both still shots and movement

  • How to photograph hair so the color reads accurately and with depth

  • How to capture movementwithout unwanted blur

  • How to direct and pose models for natural, fluid motion

  • How to troubleshoot in real time when something isn’t working

This workshop takes placeinside a professional studio, where you’ll be shooting live models and working in a real studio environment, not just learning theory.

You’ll get hands-on experience throughout the class, applying what you learn in real time with guidance and feedback.

Before the workshop, you’ll receive a prep assignment to bring a wig or hair piece, giving you the opportunity to create additional content and build your portfolio during the session.

We’ll also dedicate time at the end for independent shooting, where you’ll refine your work with my support & models from my network.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clear understanding of how to control lighting, settings, and movement together

  • Real experience shooting in a studio environment

  • New portfolio images

  • A repeatable process you can use in your own space
